About Ordelo
Is Ordelo a replacement for an e-commerce website?
If you want a full e-commerce website where customers visit your site, browse products and place orders, Ordelo may not be the right choice for you. Ordelo is built for small businesses that sell directly through Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and other social media channels. If your customers discover your products on social media and prefer to order by chatting with you, Ordelo helps you manage everything that happens after the sale — from organising orders and collecting customer details to printing shipping labels and generating invoices.
Can my competitors see my prices or products?
No. Ordelo has no public shop page or catalogue. Your products and prices are only in your dashboard, and each order link shows just that customer's items to the person you send it to.
Can I charge different customers different prices?
Yes. Every order is created by you, so you can add items at whatever price you agreed in the chat, whether that's a discount for a regular, a bulk rate or a custom piece.
Do my customers need to download an app or sign up?
No. They open the order link you send, confirm the items, add their mobile number and address, and pay. It works in any phone browser.
Can I manage everything from my phone?
Yes. The seller dashboard is designed mobile-first, with bottom navigation and quick actions. It works just as well on a laptop.
Orders, addresses and shipping
My orders are spread across Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp chats. How does Ordelo help?
Every order you create gets its own order number and goes into one list, whichever chat it came from, with the channel noted. You can see what's new, paid, packing or shipped, and find any order by customer name, mobile number or order number instead of scrolling back through chats.
Customers send half addresses in different formats. Does Ordelo fix that?
Yes. Instead of typing addresses from chats, you send the order link and the customer fills in their own name, mobile number, address, city, state and PIN code in a simple form. Every address arrives complete and in the same format, ready to print on a label.
How does shipping work?
Turn on the couriers you use. When you mark an order as shipped, pick the courier and add the tracking number. Your customer sees it on their order page, and if they added their email, they're emailed the tracking details too. You can also print address labels for many orders at once.
Will customers keep asking me whether their order is dispatched?
Far less. The order link you sent shows the current status: confirmed, paid, processing, shipped or completed. When you dispatch, add the courier and tracking number and the customer sees them on the same page.
Do my customers get notified when I ship their order?
Yes, by email, if they add one. The email box on the order page is optional, with a note that order updates are sent there. When you mark the order as shipped, Ordelo emails them straight away with the courier, tracking number, a button to track the parcel, their items and delivery address. The email comes from your store: your business name is the sender and the subject, and your logo is at the top. Customers who skip the email can still see the dispatch status and tracking number on the same order link you sent them.
Can I see how my business is doing?
Yes. Your dashboard shows orders this month against last month, how many are pending and how many are done, your best-selling products and your most recent orders, on your phone or laptop.
Payments and invoices
How do I get paid? Does Ordelo hold my money?
Ordelo doesn't process payments. You add your own payment details in Settings, such as your UPI ID, QR code, bank details or a payment link from your provider, and they're shown on each order page. Customers pay you directly through your own method, then confirm on the order page so you can check and ship.
Will I know when a customer pays?
Yes, on your own phone, where you already chat. Add your WhatsApp number in Settings under "Share payment details to". After paying, the customer's order page asks them to send the payment screenshot or UTR number to that number with one tap, so it arrives as a normal WhatsApp message from them. When they tap "I've paid", the order also moves to Payment Completed in your dashboard with the time, so you can match the money to the order and ship. There's no separate app or inbox to keep checking.
How do I know which payment is for which order?
Every order has its own order number, total and your payment details. When the customer pays, they mark the payment on that order's page, and the order moves to Payment Completed with the time. You check the amount in your UPI or bank app, and you always know which order it belongs to, with no screenshots to match to chats.
Do I need GST to use Ordelo's invoices?
No. Every order gets an invoice whether or not you charge GST. If you are registered, turn on GST in Settings and add your GSTIN and rate: the invoice then becomes a tax invoice showing the taxable value and GST for each item. If you are not registered, leave it off and you get a simple invoice with no tax lines. Either way, download it as a PDF or print it.
Data and security
Is my business and customer data safe with Ordelo?
We keep it deliberately simple and private. Your store has its own address (yourbrand.ordelo.in) and its own sign-in, and you can only ever open your own orders, products and customers, never another store's. Everything travels over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Passwords are never stored as plain text, and we verify every email address before an account is used. Each order link carries a long, random code that can't be guessed, and it shows only that one order to the person you send it to. Ordelo doesn't process payments, so we never see or store card numbers, UPI PINs or bank passwords. We only show the payment details you choose to add, such as your UPI ID or QR code. We don't sell your data or your customers' details, and we only use customer addresses to run your orders. If you ever want your store and all its data removed, email hello@ordelo.in and we'll delete it.
Account, plans and help
Where do I sign in after I sign up?
We'll email you a link to verify your address as soon as you sign up. Once it's verified, sign in at your own Ordelo address, for example yourbrand.ordelo.in (it's in the same email), using the email and password you registered with.
Which plan do I need?
It depends on how many orders you create in a month. Starter is ₹199 a month for up to 300 orders. Growth is ₹399 a month for up to 1,000 orders. Both include every feature. If you create more than 1,000 orders a month, email hello@ordelo.in for a custom price. Your dashboard shows how many orders you've used this month.
What happens after the 14-day trial?
Renew your plan from your dashboard to keep using Ordelo. If you miss the renewal date you still get 7 days of full access to pay. Your products, orders and settings stay just as you left them.
